A Tribute to Dr SPB How has SPB sir impacted the lives of many

He is a LEGEND. His voice has touched millions of people all over the world.

I started reading about him after his demise recently and last few days listening to many songs of him. He is a versatile singer. Though, he has not formally trained in carnatic music, his carnatic songs stand apart.   For, people who have listened to the songs in the movie Shankarabaranam , they know it.

When he sings carnatic songs , there is divinity in his voice . When he sings romantic songs , his voice is romantic.  Whatever be the human emotions , happiness, joy, ecstasy, sorrow , he can bring any human emotion  through his voice. He has a unique capability of bringing all the emotions in one song as well. His voice has traveled through 4 generations. He can sing is many languages in many journres.

For a legend who has been singing for close to 5 decades, something unbelievable, his voice remained unbroken, untarnished , youthful as ever, indeed it is  GOD's blessings.

I don't feel like using past-tense. He has played every role in his life to the best of his ability , be it a friend, father, a husband or  a professional singer.  Beyond a great singer, he is an excellent human being, always humble and respectful of all  people. Power, fame and Money did not get into his head.

He could have lived for some more time, but any amount of his time will not be enough for us.

 

As he has sung in one of his songs, 'Even if I die, I will blossom as Music", he continues to live in the hearts of million through his Art/music/songs. 

I am sure, his songs, his very existence would have made an impact on the lives of many of us. We can try to take a leaf from his LIFE and follow it. 

We as Indians are extremely fortunate to live in the his time and enjoy his music. He has lived in almost every home in India for many years and he will continue to live as long as we are alive.

 

Any number of adjectives will not be enough to describe his personality:

Dynamic, bubbly , magnetic, charismatic, lovable , affable, friendly,  humble,  positive  spirited, humane, simple ,  compassionate..the list goes on

 

His music has enthralled people for many decades. He has made people fall in LOVE with the word Love again  through his wonderful music.

I am sure for millions of fans, his demise is like a personal loss. It will be hard to come to terms with the reality that Sir's physical presence cannot be felt anymore. His absence has left a void which none can fill. The world of Indian Music and all his fans feel orphaned.
